UPDATED 7:15 EST – EQUITIES – Asian stock markets closed lower. European bourses trading lower to the lowest level in almost 10 months. U.S. stock futures trading lower, indicating the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index may post its longest losing streak since October 2008, amid concern that growth in the world’s largest economy is faltering. COMMODITIES – Crude Oil declined for a third day, the longest losing streak since May. Gold climbed toward a record in London as concern that global economic growth may be slowing boosted demand for the metal as a protection of wealth. CURRENCIES – The Japanese Yen’s biggest monthly advance since 2008 is threatening profits of exporters, endangering the nation’s rebound from March’s record earthquake. The British Pound traded within one cent of an almost two-week low versus the dollar as a report showed the U.K. construction industry grew at a slower pace last month. ECONOMIC DATA – US Personal Spending due at 8:30 est.
